Halo 2 's theme song is one of the franchise's most memorable pieces of music, and now an incredible behind-the-scenes video shows how it was recorded. Halo composer Marty O'Donnell recently posted a very cool video that shows some of the recording sessions with guitarists Steve Vai and Nile Rodgers. The 27-minute video is worth a watch from end-to-end for any Halo fan, but you can skip to around 9 minutes to watch Vai shred the theme music moment memorable riff. Behold: O'Donnell worked on the Halo franchise while at Bungie and stayed on board to write the music for Destiny. He was fired from Bungie in 2014, later suing Bungie and eventually prevailing against the studio, getting hundreds of thousands of dollars . It's almost September, and that means the next wave of additions to the Xbox Game Pass library are coming out soon. There are 10 titles being added to the catalog in September, including some big first-party games such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Quantum Break . These add to the more than 100 games (across Xbox One and Xbox 360) that are already available in the library. The Master Chief Collection, which originally launched in 2014, is biggest Halo package ever released. It includes remastered versions of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 , in addition to Halo 3 and Halo 4 . All of the multiplayer maps for each game are also included. Forsaken, the next expansion for Destiny 2 , arrives on September 4. Bungie has now revealed a new ViDoc (above) and the planned roadmap of DLC content that will come to Destiny 2 after Forsaken has arrived. There are two different paths of content depending on whether you want to spend more money on Destiny 2. Forsaken kicks off Destiny 2's fall season, which runs from September through November and is called Season of the Outlaw. On September 1, you can play Gambit as part of a 24-hour trial if you pre-order Forsaken . Forsaken officially launches three days later, and the expansion's raid, titled Last Wish, goes live on September 14. On September 18, Iron Banner returns and The Convergence map is added to the Crucible. The Breakthrough multiplayer mode comes to Crucible on September 25, along with some more maps. PlayStation has posted the first gameplay trailer for Spelunky 2 , the sequel to one of the best indie platform games of all time. The trailer was posted alongside an interview with the creator of the original Spelunky , Derek Yu, who revealed additional insight into the sequel. "Since Spelunky 1 was released, a lot of great roguelike-inspired games have come out and pushed the genre in cool new directions, but I think Spelunky is still very unique in terms of the freedom it offers the player and the way different elements interact, where one event can trigger a cascade of consequences that have to be dealt with," Yu said. If you've already sunk a considerable amount of time into the 3DS version and don't want to start over, you can transfer your progress to the Switch game and carry on with the same hunter. Doing so is a fairly straightforward process, but there are quite a few steps you'll need to follow, which is why we've put together this handy guide to help you along. To transfer your 3DS save data to the new Switch game, you'll first need to install the Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate Save Data Transfer App on 3DS. You can download the app for free from the 3DS Eshop or directly on Nintendo's website . Once that has been installed, launch the Save Data Transfer App, then choose the option to link your 3DS and Switch systems. This will generate a transfer password.

Bungie just released more information about the launch for Destiny 2 : Forsaken. The expansion comes to all platforms on September 4, but you'll need to download a Day 1 patch before you can play. On September 4 at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM BST, Destiny 2's servers will go offline for maintenance. Bungie predicts the necessary patch to play Forsaken will go live about 30 minutes later. At 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM BST, Destiny 2 will go back online. The Forsaken expansion will be playable at that time assuming you've finished downloading the patch. Figuring players would need time to level up in preparation for it, Forsaken's raid, Last Wish, won't go live as quickly after the expansion's launch as previous raids did. I was fortunate enough to have lived in Japan when I was younger. In fact, it kickstarted this whole anime thing for me-- I've talked about this before . While it certainly was a special experience that I'm eternally grateful for, it really wasn't that different from living in the States. I still went to school, my parents went to work, I played video games at friends' houses and ate pizza and watched movies and walked the dog.   But the point is, life in Japan wasn't as wacky or out-there as the manga I was reading, or the anime I was watching on TV, and it was the little things I missed the most: canned almond cocoa from a vending machine, convenience store food, the pleasant ring of a chari , yellow hats and randoseru on little kids coming home from school, the smell of citronella coils that people started burning when the mosquitos came out in full force. Anime dubs tend to have a mixed reputation: you either love them or you hate them, but many fans still prefer to see the original product, which I feel is a little unfair--dubs aren’t inferior products. While there’s nothing to compare the original anime to in terms of voice acting, the dubs are automatically given status as a comparison of how well it can convey the Japanese delivery instead of how it works as an original product. Audiences are used to the Japanese voices, and with the dubs coming out after Japanese-language episodes air, people come to expect a particular sound from the shows they watch. But that isn't to say dubs aren't worth watching, because dubs can do their job pretty well!
