Don't Expect the Next PlayStation Before April 2020
If the recent peek into the future of PlayStation got you all excited for what will probably end up being called PlayStation 5, don't worry about blowing all your cash on it just yet. According to The Wall Street Journal tech reporter Takashi Mochizuki, Sony won't be releasing the console over the next year, so we'll at least be waiting until sometime beyond March 31, 2020 to get our hands on it.
Among the other interesting tidbits is the fact that Sony has plans to invest much of ¥31.1 billion into the system's development. There were also some details divulged regarding the numbers for PlayStation Now. The game streaming service has seen an average annual growth of 40 percent since launch, with subscriber numbers now sitting at 700,000.
