Some sad news out of the voice acting world this morning, as Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Comics announced in a press release that Kevin Conroy, the prolific voice actor best known for his iconic turn as the Caped Crusader in Batman The Animated Series, passed away at 66 years old from cancer on Wednesday, November 10. Conroy also starred in multiple animated Batman spin-offs, including the Japanese animated anthology Batman: Gotham Knight.

While a generation grew up with his voice thanks to the aforementioned animated series, which initially featured Japan's TMS and Sunrise as participating animation studios, Conroy also lent his talents to additional projects such as the Batman: Gotham Knight animated anthology. The anthology release from 2008 included Japanese animation studios Studio 4°CMadhouseBee Train and Production I.G  lending their unique visual signatures to stories set in the Batman universe.

He will be genuinely missed, and our thoughts and condolences go out to his friends, family and colleagues for their loss.
