CSK vs GT IPL 2023 Final: Why history favours MS Dhoni &Chennai? Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill on the cusp of historic records

CSK vs GT IPL 2023 Final: The Indian Premier League (IPL) final will witness five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) battle Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

CSK are among the most successful teams in IPL history, having won the title four times. But GT are also no pushover, the defending champions are looking to become the first team to win back-to-back IPL titles.

Interestingly, in 9 out of 12 finals since 2011, the side which has emerged victorious in qualifier 1 has gone on to win the final as well. Hence, history favours CSK.

MS Dhoni, captain of CSK and one of the greatest batters in the tournament's history, will be looking to lead his team to victory in the final. This will be CSK's 10th appearance in the final, and if they manage to win it, then they will be level with Mumbai Indians, who have five titles.

Further, when Dhoni takes the field against GT, he will become the first player to play 250 matches in IPL.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya-led GT, could become only the third team captain after Dhoni and Rohit Sharma to win back-to-back IPL titles with his team.

GT's star batter Shubman Gill who has accumulated 851 runs this season, is third on the all-time list of batters with the most runs in an IPL season. He is just 13 runs away from overtaking Jos Buttler. But to break Virat Kohli's record of 973 runs in an IPL season in 2016, Gill needs to score 123 more runs.

CSK are the favorites, but GT have the potential to upset them. It should be a thrilling final and it will be interesting to see who lifts the trophy.

    The official website for the stage play adaptation of the 2018 film Bungo Stray Dog DEAD APPLE has posted a three-minute digest clip introducing its main cast members' stage performance.   Bungo Stray Dogs is an action mystery seinen manga series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. Its TV anime adaption animated by Bones was aired for three seasons with a total of 36 episodes from April 2016 to June 2019. After the second season was aired, an all-new feature film Bungo Stray Dogs DEAD APPLE was released on March 3, 2018, making 550 million yen from its domestic run.   As the fifth show from the stage play series, Bungo Stray Dos on Stage DEAD APPLE was first performed at COOL JAPAN PARK OSAKA WW hall in Osaka from April 16 to 18, 2021.
