Yotsuba&! Art Exhibition Gets Whimsical in Yokohama in October

  Residents of Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan will soon have the opportunity to "enjoy everything", because an art exhibition dedicated to Kiyohiko Azuma's Yotsuba&! , an everyday comedy manga about the gentle adventures of an adopted 5 year old girl, will open there soon.   The Kiyohiko Azuma "YOTSUBA&!" Exhibition of Original Manga Drawings will run from October 07 - 23, 2022, in the Calendar Room venue on the 7th floor of the Marui City Yokohama shopping center in Takashima, Nishi Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.   The installation will include original manga drawings, making-of videos exploring Azuma's creative process, new artwork, and more. General admission tickets to the exhibition cost 600 yen (about $4.20 US), although children of elementary school age and younger are admitted for free.     RELATED: Yotsuba&! Pump Iron Like a Pirate in Tokyo's Official One Piece Gym

  Calling all swole swashbucklers! If you're one of the countless folks who find that anime takes working out to the next level, you'll want to keep your eyes on a gym that's getting ready to open in Tokyo. There's a One Piece inspired gym—appropriately called ONE PIECE FITNESS Bragmen , a name that comes from the notorious in-universe Brag Men book that contains stories from the Grand Line—that's set to welcome fellow Straw Hats to the world of workouts in Shibuya in 2023.   Complete with One Piece themed decor and trainers decked out like naval officers, the gym will have a points system to encourage members to go the extra mile, as well as a children's "pirate school" for the younger exercise enthusiasts.     That's pretty much all there is as far as details are concerned, so stay tuned for more as we get closer to the gym's opening next year.   Source: Official website via Anime News Network     ------- Joseph Luster is th...

Roppongi to Host 30th Anniversary Sailor Moon Museum

  This summer, the  Sony Music Roppongi Museum  will be hosting a huge exhibition, celebrating 30 years of  Sailor Moon .   The  Sailor Moon Museum  was announced today, and will be presented in three "volumes" focusing on the story's five parts — parts 1 and 2 in Vol1, parts 3 and 4 in Vol2, and part 5 in Vol3.     RELATED: Sailor Moon Anime Continues with Sailor Moon Cosmos 2-Part Film in Early Summer 2023   The exhibition's site details several highlights to look forward to. Visitors can enjoy original artwork by series creator Naoko Takeuchi , including both new art and original manga manuscripts. The art will be rotated out across the three "volumes" detailed above. Wall displays will bring to life key scenes from the story, accentuated with holographic technology that shows changing facial expressions depending on where you're standing.
