Princess Connect! Re: Dive Rings in the Holidays with Christina (Holiday)!
Heyas, Knights! It may sound a bit early for holiday festivities, but if there’s one thing we do around these parts, it’s to get the party started early! Join us as we begin our annual tradition of celebrating the holidays with a slew of events, characters, gachas, and more! Don’t miss what’s coming up next for Princess Connect! Re: Dive.
Knights! The plan is simple - start celebrating the holidays with Christina (Holiday)! That’s right, the festive season is kicking into high gear in the land of Astraea, and what better way to get things started than with new seasonal variants of your favorite characters? Christina has a new gig as a producer of the idol group Carmina (more on that in a bit), and in step with her career move is a new holiday variant with a remixed skillset centering around her brand new Union Burst, Duality Avalon, which toggles on and off a special status that gives her access to all kinds of new skill effects. Talk about a set of mogul moves. Or are they Morgan Moves? The world may never know.
Like the majority of seasonally-themed characters before her, Christina (Holiday) is a limited character, which means that she won’t be included in the Premium Gacha after the Focus Gacha ends. However, she will be available for redemption via character points, which means that the Focus Gacha is a can’t-miss opportunity for obtaining her. Take advantage of increased draw rates during the Focus Gacha and start ringing in the holiday season!
The Christina (Holiday) Focus Gacha runs for 11 days, from 11/1, 23:00 UTC to 11/12, 22:59 UTC.
After Christina (Holiday), more festive characters from last year are making a comeback! Chika (Holiday) and Ayane (Holiday) are back, this time in the form of a Prize Gacha. Get ready to either send enemies flying with Ayane and Pukichi, or summon 3 spirits with Chika that you will absolutely in no way use to abuse the in-game TP mechanics during Clan Battle. Right?
When performing draws on a Prize Gacha, you’ll first pick one of the highlighted units in question - then, every time you perform a draw, you’ll also get an additional entry into an additional gacha that can reward you with more Divine Amulets, Memory Shards of the chosen character, and other rewards, such as Skip Tickets and Princess Heart (Fragments)! Plus, the characters in question will have increased draw rates, making this a great opportunity to round out your boxes (and your resources!) if necessary - especially considering how these are limited characters, and won’t be around after the Prize Gacha ends!
The Chika (Holiday) and Ayane (Holiday) Prize Gacha runs for 10 days, from 11/12, 23:00 UTC to 11/22, 22:59 UTC. Remember: these are limited characters, so the campaign period is your only chance to obtain them before they’re gone. Plan accordingly!
As opposed to future panic about the fate of the world, or past panic about how this world came to exist, Present Panic! deals with the very real concerns of Landosol in the now. Questions like taxation without representation, traffic laws and urban planning for the city, and much much more.
…We have been told that the above is not what Present Panic! is about. Instead, Present Panic! The Santas of Landosol is this year’s brand new festive-themed story event! Join Christina, Illya, and Nozomi as they race across Landosol and compete to take the name of Landosol’s brand-new Santa Claus! (Trust us, the story’ll make more sense when you watch it.)
Get ready to spread the holiday spirit since this event features unique, exclusive boss battles, where you can test your skills in three varying difficulties: Normal, Hard, and Very Hard. Very Hard is set to be the toughest of the bunch, and is only clearable once per day. If you’re craving even more of a challenge, we’ve also prepared another Special difficulty Boss, with unique challenges and mechanics that will challenge you in new ways across three different modes. Of course, for each boss you best, you’ll earn rewarding presents for your troubles, such as Victory Medals, equipment, and more.
In order to fight the bosses, though, you’ll need to spend Boss Tickets. These Boss Tickets can be obtained by clearing event stages, as well as from login bonuses while the event is active. If you don’t successfully defeat a boss on your first attempt, don’t sweat it - you can retry as many times as necessary, and non-lethal damage dealt to a Boss carries over between attempts.
Nozomi (Holiday) is ready to put on a show. Nothing makes fans go wilder than a festive-themed idol show. Spread some festive joy with Nozomi (Holiday) as she supports her teammates and gives important buffs. During the story event period, you’ll be able to recruit Nozomi (Holiday) after defeating the boss on Normal difficulty. Be sure to attend a live idol show to watch Nozomi (Holiday) before she’s off for the holidays.
Get ready to collect some presents as well as we’re also increasing the experience gain rates for completing Event Quests. During the event, clearing Event Quests will give 1.5x times the normal experience, in addition to the normal Mana, items, and Boss Tickets that these quests give out.
The Victory Medal Gacha also makes its splash for the event! Clearing event stages, event missions, and defeating the previously mentioned bosses will earn you Victory Medals, which can be exchanged for a plethora of goodies. There’s a predetermined series of reward lineups, each featuring a key reward - once you roll the current lineup’s key reward, you’ll have the opportunity to either reset the rewards and move ahead to the next lineup, or hold off on resetting to clear out all the possible rewards. Here are the key rewards you should look out for!
- Lineup 1: Illya’s Memory Shards x 20
- Lineup 2: Nozomi (Holiday)’s Memory Shards x 25
- Lineup 3: Illya‘s Memory Shards x 30
- Lineup 4: Nozomi (Holiday)’s Memory Shards x 40
Just remember - once you’ve gone through the four initial lineups, you won’t be able to reset the active lineup until you’ve obtained all the possible rewards from the current active lineup.
The Present Panic! The Santas of Landosol story event will be available from 11/1, 23:00 UTC to 11/15, 22:59 UTC.
Speaking of festive events, we’re also bringing back The Carol That Never Was story event. Once again, join Ayane and Kurumi as they prepare for the holidays and help out Chika as she seems to have lost her memories.
Whether you’re reading through the story for the first time or wanting to experience it all over again, you’ll be in for a treat. Not to mention you’ll recruit Kurumi (Holiday) for completing the Event Quests if you haven’t recruited her already.
Speaking of presents, The Victory Medal Gacha lineup has also been revamped in our revival event. Take a look at the updated key rewards:
- Lineup 1: 2 Sets of Nozomi’s Memory Shards x 20
- Lineup 2: 2 Sets of Kurumi (Holiday)’s Memory Shards x 20
- Lineup 3: 2 Sets of Nozomi’s Memory Shards x 20
- Lineup 4: 2 Sets of Kurumi (Holiday)’s Memory Shards x 20
The Carol That Never Was revival story event will be available from 11/17, 23:00 UTC to 11/24, 22:59 UTC.
November keeps on giving and you know what will be coming up next—it’s time for the limited-time challenge to make a return: the Tower of Luna opens its doors once again for challengers to climb! The supercharged dungeon is back and it has prepared a new set of 10 floors complete with unique monsters, Shadows, and a new set of bosses to beat, with bountiful rewards for your troubles. Don’t worry, your progress from the last Tower of Luna event is carried over and you can continue the ascent from the floor you left off. Remember, your party of characters can carry over between floors (assuming none of them hit 0 HP), and you can reset your characters to full HP once a day. Can you make the climb up to the 370th floor and complete the EX mission?
The Phantom Passage will also be making a stunning return. Once you complete the 370th floor, you’ll be able to attempt the Phantom Passage, a challenging floor you can complete daily for additional prizes. Get ready for a true display of skill!
The Tower of Luna reopens its doors for five days, from 11/16, 13:00 UTC to 11/21, 15:59 UTC. If you haven’t done so already, you'll need to finish Main Story Quest 9-1 in order to access the Tower. We wish you the best of luck, adventurers!
The festivities continue in November with a new content update drop. Make your climb up Photella Cliffs (North), featuring new enemies, new challenges, and new rewards for your troubles. Here, you'll find new equipment that can raise your characters to a maximum of 5 equips at rank 15, as well as new Hard Quest nodes for Yui, Eriko, and Arisa. Making your way through Area 30 will also unlock up to Episode 5 of Chapter 15 of the Main Story.
We'll also be increasing the level cap from 148 to 151. With so much content coming out at once, you’ll want to start saving up Mana and EXP potions as soon as possible! In addition, new BGM will be added to the Memorial Jukebox for further customization.
The November content drop lands on 11/16 at 13:00 UTC.
Get the holidays started early by decking out your festive-themed characters with brand-new Unique Equipment. Watch as Ayane (Holiday), Chika (Holiday), and Kurumi (Holiday) bring even more holiday cheer as you power them up further. Unique equipment for Ayane (Holiday), Chika (Holiday), and Kurumi (Holiday) will be unlocked on 11/12 after 9:00 UTC.
Prepare yourselves to be charmed in the loving embrace of Io. She is ready to bring her charms to the forefront as she disorients enemies and makes them unable to tell friends from foes. Io’s 6★ ascension graces us with her appearance in our latest update as she’s ready to bring her teaching skills to the forefront. You will be able to obtain Io’s Pure Memory Shards by completing Very Hard stage 19-3. Recall that you will also need Princess Orbs from the Temple Trek in order to ascend your character. *Note* This process cannot be reversed.
Very Hard Main Quest stage 19-3 and 6★ ascension for Io will be unlocked on 11/1 at 9:00 UTC.
As the Main Story ramps up to its final climax, we’re adding a new feature for newer Knights to be able to experience the story in its near-entirety! Previously, story progression and new chapters were gated behind clearing specific in-game Main Quests, which meant that newer players might not be able to experience all of the story content without getting stronger. As Part 1 of the Main Story nears its conclusion, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to get up to speed, so starting on 11/1, you’ll have the ability to bypass the Main Quest clear conditions for unlocking story content. Enjoy!
