Evangelion Pilots Get Isekai'd into Shironeko Project Mobile Game

 

Rebuild of Evangelion is behind us, but it looks like the Eva pilots are making stops in other worlds. Their latest jaunt is an isekai journey to the world of 3D mobile action game Shironeko Project.

 

The collaboration will feature Shinji, Rei, Asuka, Mari, and Kaworu in a brand new scenario, with their respective voice actors returning to play things out. There's a major turning point in the plot, and — appropriately — where it goes from there is up to Shinji. That is, you.

 

The Evangelion characters get new art, and cute 3D models, in the style of the game:

 

 

When you finish the scenario on "Normal" difficulty, you'll get to add the Spear of Longinus to you inventory.

 

 

You'll also be able to earn a Rei in her white plugsuit to add to your team, and classic Shironeko Project characters in plugsuits:

Shironeko Project (also known as White Cat Project) launched in Japan in 2014. The game has spun off into many formats, including mobile sports game Shironeko Tennis, anime series Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle (licensed by Funimation), and the upcoming Nintendo Switch game Shironeko New Project. It was available briefly as an international English-language release titled Colopl Rune Story, but there has been no move to re-open an international server since this version ended in 2016.
