Legendary Expands MonsterVerse with Godzilla TV Series

The MonsterVerse that kicked off with 2014's Gareth Evans-directed Godzilla is getting ready to expand. Legendary Entertainment announced plans for a new live-action TV series featuring Godzilla and the Titans, which will debut as an Apple TV+ exclusive.

 

Chris Black (Star Trek: Enterprise) is co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner for the MonsterVerse series along with executive producer Matt Fraction (Hawkeye), Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell of Safehouse Pictures, and Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita of Godzilla studio Toho Co. Ltd. 

 

There's currently no title or release date in place for the series, but Legendary did share a brief synopsis:

 

Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family's journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.

 

 

After the first Godzilla movie, the MonsterVerse continued with 2017's Kong: Skull Island, 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong. There's also an animated Skull Island series in the works for Netflix, so fans of the western take on all of these kaiju are in for a lot of content.

Meet Cute Chibi-version Characters in D4DJ Petit Mix Mini Anime Key Visual & PV

    Right after the final 13th episode of the TV anime D4DJ First Mix was aired in Japan last night, it was announced that a new mini anime series D4DJ Petit Mix is set to premiere on February 5, 2021. Seiya Miyajima ( BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Pico ) serves as the director/series composition writer at DMM.futureworks/W-Toon Studio.   The new comedy series featuring the chibi version characters will be available in "D4DJ Photon Maiden TV," D4DJ project's new variety show hosted by the four members of Photon Maiden - Risa Tsumugi , Ami Maejima , Haruki Iwata , and Hinata Sato .
