Automata Anime Project Prima Doll Adds Three New Cast Members

Earlier this year, Key (CLANNAD, Angel Beats) and Visual Arts announced Prima Doll: a media mix project starring a cast of female automata. Today, the upcoming anime adaptation added three new cast members, complete with art for their respective characters.

 

Joining the cast will be Ayumu Murase (Iruma Suzuki in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) as Nagi Touma, owner of the café Kuronekotei and a firm believer in the potential of the automata:

Misaki Kuno (Pearl Fey in Ace Attorney Season 2) as Chiyo, an energetic young Kuronekotei employee who was born overseas:

And Ayaka Suwa (Chris in KONOSUBA -God's blessing on this wonderful world!-) as Otome Okunomiya, a strict and dignified member of the local police force who keeps an eye on the local military presence.

The Prima Doll anime will be directed by Tensho (Rewrite), with Tōya Akano and Kai on screenplay and series composition, Akane Yano on chief animation direction and character designs—based on original designs by Na-Ga, Fuzichoco, Yui Hara, En Morikura and lack—and Bibury Animation Studios on production. It's set to debut this July.

Four More Cast Members Join World Trigger Stage Play

    The official website for "World Trigger the Stage,"  the forthcoming stage play adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara's sci-fi action manga World Trigger , has introduced four more cast members - Shori Kondo (Zenji Bamba in Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens stage play) as Kei Tachikawa, Yuya Iiyama (Sohayanotsurugi in Touken Ranbu stage plays) as Kohei Izumi, Ryota Hirono (Hikaru Zaizen in The Prince of Tennis musicals) as Soya Kazama, and Keito Sakurai (Rui Tatsumi in Star-Myu musicals) as Shuji Miwa.     The official website for the stage play adaptation of the 2018 film Bungo Stray Dog DEAD APPLE has posted a three-minute digest clip introducing its main cast members' stage performance.   Bungo Stray Dogs is an action mystery seinen manga series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. Its TV anime adaption animated by Bones was aired for three seasons with a total of 36 episodes from April 2016 to June 2019. After the second season was aired, an all-new feature film Bungo Stray Dogs DEAD APPLE was released on March 3, 2018, making 550 million yen from its domestic run.   As the fifth show from the stage play series, Bungo Stray Dos on Stage DEAD APPLE was first performed at COOL JAPAN PARK OSAKA WW hall in Osaka from April 16 to 18, 2021.
